The Macomb County Historical Society’s Crocker House Museum returns with its annual cemetery walk on October 5, 2024 at Clinton Grove Cemetery. The cemetery walk will feature local reenactors that will tell their stories and recount their lives. Every year we strive to have a theme for the cemetery walk as it promotes a cohesive story that is both entertaining and educational for all members of the family.
The cemetery walk features guided tours starting every 20 minutes from 12:00 until 4:00. Tour guides will lead groups through the cemetery along an established route to the resting place of each soldier. Reenactors dressed in period clothing will represent the deceased.
This event is a fundraiser for the museum and furthers its mission to provide educational programs that feature Mount Clemens and Macomb County history. The event includes cider and donut refreshments sponsored by Vick Funeral Home, raffle baskets and museum gift shop items, including Three Wives Tea that was created especially for the Crocker House Museum by Harney and Sons Tea Company.
Tickets are $18 for members of the Macomb County Historical Society and $20 for non-members.
Tickets and tour times may be reserved by calling the Crocker House Museum, 586-465-2488, Monday through Friday.
Join us at Clinton Grove Cemetery to meet the actors who will share the stories of the brave firefighters and their families from the historic Mount Clemens Fire Departments. Enjoy an afternoon of history, refreshments, raffle baskets, and fun!
