Smart Towns: Robotics in Surgery with Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital

In this presentation, Dr. Douglas Pugmire, D.O. will review how advanced robotic technology is used to treat gynecological diseases. Over the last 15 years, over 75% of all gynecological-related surgery has transitioned to robotics. Dr. Pugmire is board-certified in gynecological oncology and Ob/Gyn. He is the director of robotics surgery and Chief of the Ob/Gyn Department at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital. The global pandemic has put many things in perspective. In 2021, Smart Towns programs will focus on the many ways humans have found to solve problems and find inspiration during difficult periods.
