This concert features a delightful blend of heartwarming stories, beautiful music, a bit of humor and some very fascinating musical instruments from around the world.
Presenting only the most appropriate tales, Audrey’s uncanny vocal effects and animated style captivates every audience. Add to this her experience and her unconditional love for ALL
CHILDREN, and you have one of the finest storytellers for children in the world.
The instrumentation includes steel drums, udu, berimbau, kalimba, m’biras, cuica, gongs, shakers, and others.
Audrey’s selected stories emphasize love, safety, hard work, perseverance,
Honesty, and other time- honored family values. Stories about cultural diversity, moral values, family strength, and anti- violence. Utilizing interactive storytelling and musical instruments from South and North America, West and South African,The Caribbean, and Asia.
Children are invited to play a few of the instruments throughout the program. Concluding with a Reading Dance, giving everyone a chance to get up and move, while placing emphasis on the importance of reading.
Audrey is one of few chromatic kalimba players in the United States.
