Raúl the Third is coming to Delavan!

Aram Public Library, in partnership with Delavan-Darien School District, is beyond thrilled to announce a visit featuring the talented Mexican-American children’s author/illustrator Raúl the Third!

Join us for an evening with Raúl the Third, where you'll learn about his work, his process, and more!  A selection of Raúl’s books will be available for purchase from Reads By The River, along with the opportunity to have them signed!

Youth attending the program will receive a free art kit, while supplies last.

Raúl the Third is a three-time winner of the Pura Belpre Award.  Raúl’s written and illustrated works portray his childhood growing up in El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.  Using colorful and delightful images, Raúl uses his artwork and text to create stories and environments embracing his Mexican-American heritage.  In addition to his work as a children’s author/illustrator, Raúl also has had work exhibited in New York, Boston and Los Angeles.
