Arts & Culture, Educational, Food & Beverage
For many across the world, Christmas dinner includes turkey or ham with all the trimmings. For people in Japan, however, Kentucky Fried Chicken is often the traditional Christmas meal of choice. Since its arrival there in the 1970s, Japan has become the third-largest market for KFC, especially because of its unique marketing strategy there. Librarian and Japan enthusiast Brad Allard will present on how KFC came to Japan, unique KFC traditions and menu items, and even a baseball superstition involving Colonel Sanders himself
