Beginner Ukulele Lessons

Unleash your musical potential with our Beginner Ukulele Class at the O'Fallon Public Library! Designed for those with little to no ukulele experience, this engaging 10-week class will introduce you to the basics of playing. Under the guidance of our friendly instructor, Kim, you'll learn how to tune your ukulele, strum effectively, and play simple chords. By the end, you'll be able to perform a few songs and have the skills to continue your musical journey independently.

Join us and embark on your musical adventure today!

What You'll Need:

  • Ukulele: A few ukuleles are available for checkout from OFPL. If you plan to purchase one, we recommend a concert size for women and a tenor size for men. Please avoid baritone ukuleles.
  • Paper & Pencil
  • You: Commitment to attending the class and practicing for 15-20 minutes daily.

The Ukulele Jukebox Band, led by Kim Brush and Jeanette Hattan, performs at local assisted living, nursing, and memory care facilities.

Open to the public. You do not need a library card to participate.
