How We Got Over: Rising Through Perseverance, a Small Town's Story

The EBR Parish Library's Special Collections Department Lecture Series is proud to present Dorothy Kendrick, Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) Senior Producer. She will discuss the new documentary, How We Got Over, that recently premiered on LPB. It is available to watch online on the LPB website (lpb.org) or the LPB YouTube channel. This inspiring and informational film tells the history of African Americans in West Feliciana Parish from postwar Reconstruction to the present day and explores the ways in which the community produced an exceptional number of Black professionals and businesses.
