Sam Wrobel Wycinanki Papercutting -- Lecture and Demonstration, funded by the Passing It On Grant from LA Folklife

Join folk artist Sam Wróbel to learn about wycinanki (vee-chee-non-key), the Polish folk art of papercutting, and make two traditional-style cuttings of your own.

With just paper and scissors, you'll be amazed at the vibrant beauty you can create! No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity! All supplies will be provided. This class is for adults as well as kids 12 and up.

This workshop is offered for free thanks to the Passing It On grant from Louisiana Folklife.  The Passing It On Program is funded with support from the Louisiana Folklore Society, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Louisiana Division of the Arts and the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
