America 250, History

Join living historian and presenter Geoff Baggett for an interactive journey back to the Revolutionary War era.

Come and experience:

  • A hands-on exploration of an authentic-style wooden trunk filled with Colonial “treasures”
  • Reproductions of 18th-century weaponry, camp tools, and military equipment
  • Clothing, toys, and personal items used in everyday Colonial life
  • The realities of daily living during the Revolutionary War period
  • Stories and insights that bring history to life for all ages

Geoff Baggett is a retired pastor from western Kentucky with a passion for Revolutionary War history and genealogy. An active member of the Sons of the American Revolution, he has traced more than twenty Patriot ancestors in his family tree. Alongside his wife, Kim, Geoff regularly appears in period attire at classrooms, reenactments, and commemorative events across the southeastern United States, sharing engaging, hands-on presentations that make history both accessible and memorable.

This is a family-friendly event designed for all ages.

This event made possible in partnership with the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, the O'Fallon Historical Society, and the City of O'Fallon.

Note: This event is at the Public Safety Building (285 North Seven Hills Road).
