Salem South Lyon District Library
Educational
Registration opens September 8 and is on-going throughout the school year.
Participants must be 14-18 years old and fill out a work permit to volunteer. This is a State of Michigan law.
Looking to earn volunteer hours with a flexible schedule? Teen volunteers work alongside library staff on a variety of projects that support library services and programs throughout the school year.
Opportunities may include assisting with library events, preparing materials, creating displays, organizing supplies, and other behind-the-scenes projects.
There is no minimum volunteer commitment, and volunteer opportunities are posted regularly through SignUpGenius so you can sign up as your schedule allows. Opportunities are offered throughout the year as library needs arise and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested teens may register beginning September 8 and a librarian will be in touch to help guide you through the next steps.
Looking for a more active leadership role at the library and an opportunity to help shape services for teens? Consider joining our Teen Advisory Board (TAB).
Questions? Please contact the Program Team at youthdepartment@ssldl.info or 248-437-6431 and request to speak to Tina, Sarah or Luke.
