Reading Buddies

Reading Buddies pairs children with teen volunteers for one-on-one reading time.

This program is designed for kids who want extra practice, need a confidence boost, or simply feel more comfortable reading with a buddy. Students work to strengthen fluency and comprehension.

In addition, children can sign up for a time slot during Reading Buddies to read to Athena, a certified therapy dog with a calm, friendly personality. Register for a 10 minute time slot at Mohawk Community Library or call 419-927-2407 by Tuesday, September 22.

Non-readers are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
