Local Author Talk with Frank Anthony Polito

Join us with local author Frank Anthony Polito as he takes us on a journey through his 30-year career. Frank will share stories and video of his time spent in New York City, serving salad to Meryl Streep on-screen, how he transitioned from actor to playwright to award-winning author, all of the books he’s written that have not been published (yet) and that time when he and his partner bought their home in Pleasant Ridge on HGTV’s House Hunters.

Frank holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon and a BFA in Theatre from Wayne State. To date, he has published a total of nine novels, all set in Metro Detroit, including Band Fags! (2008 "Best Fiction" - InsightOut Book Club), Drama Queers! (2009 Lambda Literary Award), and the Domestic Partners in Crime cozy mystery series. He is currently working on a gay cowboy romance novel, Midnight Rodeo, inspired by queer masked country music singer Orville Peck.
