Join us for an important community conversation on human trafficking, sextortion, and youth safety presented in partnership with Michigan Anti-Trafficking Program.
As stories and incidents continue to unfold across our communities, many are seeking a clearer understanding of human trafficking and online exploitation. This program will provide accurate information about what human trafficking is — and what it is not — while equipping attendees with practical tools to recognize warning signs and respond safely.
The presentation will also address sextortion and youth safety in today’s digital world, helping parents, caregivers, and community members better understand how exploitation occurs, common misconceptions, prevention strategies, and ways to empower and protect vulnerable individuals.
The evening will include approximately one hour of presentation, followed by 15–20 minutes for questions and discussion. Educational materials and community resources will be available, along with information for those interested in local volunteer opportunities in Barry County.
This program is designed for the general public and aims to inform, strengthen awareness, and equip our community with actionable steps to help identify and prevent exploitation. Registration Suggested.
