A Pre-New Year's Night of Jazz with The Phillips/Stewart Quartet

For the first time in over 5 years, Pontiac jazz standouts Quincy Stewart (trumpet) and Damani Phillips (saxophone) reunite on the bandstand for a single night of hard-hitting, home grown jazz that is guaranteed to warm the soul and gratify the spirit! Both born and raised in Pontiac, Strewart and Phillips  share a musical chemistry and soulfulness that is hard to find duplicated elsewhere in the region. Straight-ahead jazz with a healthy pinch of that funk, R and B and even hip hop will all be on the musical menu for this show. The duo will be joined by an ALL-STAR CAST of Metro-Detroit's finest musicians, all of whom are internationally respected in their own rights: Mike Jellick on piano, Ms. Marion Hayden on bass and the one and only Nate Winn on drums. Guaranteed to be a night that won't soon be forgotten, and a reminder of what real deal Pontiac jazz is actually about. This is a show that you DO NOT want to miss!
