Adult Create and Sip: Rex Ray

We are excited to announce that Adult Create and Sip is back!  Join Alexis Starke for a fun and relaxing (virtual) artistic evening.  We will be creating mixed media collages inspired by artist and graphic designer Rex Ray.  Each participant will receive a goody bag with chocolates, a mini bottle of wine, papers, and inspiration images.  

After a lengthy and highly successful career as a graphic designer, Rex Ray grew tired of working for others and always being on his computer, so one day, he decided to create art as an experiment. Playing around with magazines, papers and canvases, he created a few 8” x 10” collages each night. He didn’t create them with any purpose other than to see what happened.  We will do the same!  If Rex Ray could create works of art in about an hour, so can we!

You will also need scissors and glue and (optionally) paint, other scraps of magazine, colored paper, printed paper, etc. if you wish. Please email astarke@piermontlibrary.org with any questions.  Our projects are designed to be relaxed and beginner friendly but fun for all levels.
