Take advantage of extended library hours to enjoy a junk journal workshop, introvert reading party, refreshments, or just an abbreviated, self-serve library experience.
Join graduate students from the Michigan School of Psychology as they lead a practice in mindfulness to find joy in the ordinary. Do you have “junk” lying around that you don’t want to throw away, but don’t know what to do with? Bring your assorted ephemera (stickers, greeting cards, receipts, tickets, postcards, etc.) for a session of gratitude junk journaling: the laid-back version of traditional journaling and scrapbooking that serves as a visual reminder of things you’re thankful for.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own journaling supplies and materials. Journals, supplies, and extra ephemeral items will be provided while supplies last.
