Alzheimer's Association Greater Michigan Chapter

The Alzheimers Association - Greater Michigan Chapter, was founded in 1981. We are a private, non-profit, voluntary health organization and one of over 80 chapters across the United States. The Greater Michigan Chapter covers 60 counties. Services are available to more than 140,000 individuals and their families who have Alzheimer's disease or other related dementias. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimers disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimers is the worlds largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimers care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions! When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimers awareness in your community. The Alzheimers Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.
