America250: Ohio Goes to the Movies

Join us for a special screening of Mutiny on the Bounty, a 1935 Academy Award-winning classic adventure featuring Harrison County's own Clark Gable! Mike Cope from the Clark Gable Foundation will kick off the screening with fun facts and background on Mutiny on the Bounty. Intermission will feature a period dress costume contest and Clark Gable trivia. Prizes will be awarded! The afternoon will also include light event-themed hors d'oeuvres, a caricature artist to sketch guests in costume, and a special "Ohio Goes to the Movies" photo op for all attendees. Also, be sure to visit the Clark Gable Museum - it will open at noon on the day of the showing and remain open for an additional two hours following the end of the movie.  This event is part of Ohio Goes to the Movies, a statewide celebration of Ohioans who have been in front of and behind the camera.
