Argonne Lab Tour (Adult)

Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Argonne National Labs, organized in partnership with the Palos Park Public Library. During the tour, you'll receive an overview of the laboratory’s groundbreaking work and visit at least two of its key research facilities.. Please meet at the Argonne Welcome Center (Building 224) at 8:45am to allow time for gate pass processing and getting ready for your tour. The tour will start promptly at 9:00am

 To participate, make sure you register with the library and bring your Real ID for access. Must be 18+ for this tour.  Spots are limited, so sign up early to secure your place. Registration must be completed by Thursday, 10/10/24.

A visitor pass is required to enter Argonne National Laboratory; The pass will be given at Argonne during check-in. Everyone must prominently display their pass while on-site and all vehicles entering the site are subject to search.  Please note required tour attire: long pants and flat, closed-toe shoes; no sandals, no sleeveless shirts.

Arriving To The Laboratory

When arriving at the Laboratory, we are located at South Cass Avenue & Northgate Road, Lemont, Illinois - from I-55 take exit 273A (South Cass Avenue) to Northgate Road (main entrance); follow Northgate Road to the Argonne Welcome Center (this is the building on the right-hand side before the entry gates – please do not proceed to the gates).  Note:  Northgate Road is approximately ¼ mile from I-55.  (Best not to follow GPS once on Cass Avenue, as it usually takes people to our old entrance further south.)

Please meet at the Argonne Welcome Center (Building 224) at 8:45am to allow time for gate pass processing and getting ready for your tour. The tour will start promptly at 9:00am and we are unable to wait more than 5 minutes as we have a tight schedule for tours. Registration priority will be given to PPPL cardholders.
