“Every child is an artist,” according to Pablo Picasso. Your Library believes that as well, so children ages 8-12 are invited to examine the wide spectrum of artists and original techniques during Art Explorers. Each program will highlight a specific artist, sparking creativity and discovery. Young art enthusiasts will then complete their very own masterpieces inspired by that session’s featured art style. This fall, we will meet at 4 p.m. in the Jones Meeting Center on the following Fridays: September 13, October 11, and November 15. Registration is required.
October's session will focus on Frida Kahlo. In honor of Kahlo's Mexican culture and her famous self-portraits, we will be painting 3D sugar skulls!
