Author Talk with James Gardner

Join us on Saturday, April 6 at 3 p.m. in the Library's Jones Meeting Center to hear from James Gardner, author of A Chance to Breathe: Stories from a 1918 Road Trip.  Gardner will be discussing the 1918 trip through Appalachia undertaken by industrialists such as Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. Set against the backdrop of World War I, A Chance to Breathe provides a personal portrait and narrative of the lives of these industrialists and their venture through the Appalachian mountains. Gardner will have copies of his book available to purchase and sign after the talk.
