Authors' EXPO

Saturday, 06/22, 12-4pm, Adult Area: During our Summer Reading Kick Off day, we will have our traditional Authors’ EXPO, but with a new format. We will have 6 authors present for sign-in, who will have the chance to give a 15-minute presentation of their new books. The time the presentations will start is 2pm. The participating authors and their books are listed below:
C. Ptolemy Pruden – “China Rising”: The Case For Containment outlines actions the United States can take along with its friends and allies to address the rapid militarization of the People’s Republic of China in the Western Pacific.
Diana Carter – “The Candidate: Back to Business”: The Candidate: Back to Business
The Candidate: Back to Business is a sequel to The Candidate: The Race to the Top. This book continues with the story of two best friends Justin Bradley and Darius Kane. Their friendship is tested once again when Darius returns home after living in Florida for years (taking care of his now deceased parents). The trouble that followed Darius wreaked chaos on their personal and professional lives. Will Justin and Darius find a way to overcome the damage to their lives or will they go down like a sinking ship?
Melanie Martin – “God Is Close to the Brokenhearted”: This book is a powerful and inspiring testimony of God’s love and faithfulness. It will comfort you, challenge you, and empower you to live with a grateful and joyful heart. Whether you are going through a divorce, a breakup, a death, or any other kind of heartbreak, this book will help you find hope and healing in God.
Cherie Blackwell – “An Unknown Angel’s Gift: A Couple’s Lung Transplant Journey”: An inspiring true story offering hope to patients and caregivers struggling with any disease process, told by me, a caregiver to my husband, who waited for 8 years on oxygen for a lifesaving transplant.                                                                                                                                                                                     Natasha Hughes Smith – “Reflections”: Dating was just a game to Vivian, but when she finally fell in love with Vincent, she realized he was not the man he claimed to be.
Natasha Hughes Smith – “Wealth of Lies”: The biggest lies are kept by the rich and the Barrington family has a closet full, but Bernard Barrington learned that the love of his life held secrets of her own.
Natasha Hughes Smith – “Bianchi”: Ricky Bianchi was tired of the wild parties and even wilder women. As he took his birthright as the mob boss, he wanted to build his legacy and find the love of a lifetime. The moment he saw Vittoria, he knew he had found the one.
Natasha Hughes Smith – “Selfless Love”: Shannon did not believe she deserved the love of a good man, so she settled for men who only took from her body, her wallet and crushed her heart. Raymond saw something special in Shannon and would not allow her to sabotage their change at happiness.
Russell Dore: Info will be available at a later time.
Voncile Campbell: Info will be available at a later time.
