Partnership with Dinosaur Hill NP - Part of the Flight Path grant series of programs
Meet us at Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve for this early morning program to learn about birding.
We’ll have fun learning how to adjust binoculars and get an introduction to fun mnemonics that help you remember specific bird songs and calls. We will also learn about free and easy to use birding apps that help with visual and song identification.
Next we’ll walk the Dinosaur Hill trails along the Paint Creek looking and listening for resident and migrating birds. Over 65 bird species have been seen at Dinosaur Hill and mid-May is the best time to view colorful warblers as they migrate from Central/South America to their breeding grounds in Michigan and Canada. Recommended for adults, teens, and children 10 years old and up. Registration is required.
