Bloomfield Hills, MI
Bloomfield Hills is a Northern suburb of Oakland County in Metro Detroit, Michigan U.S. According to the 2010 census, the city has a population of 3,869. Bloomfield Hills was originally used for farmland. However, in the 20th century, wealthy residents from Detroit started to buy up the land. In 1932 residents voted to become a city to avoid becoming part of the city of Birmingham.
Bloomfield Hills is home to a number of historical sites. the National Historical Landmark Cranbrook Educational Community welcomes visitors to see the Cranbrook Institute of Science and the Cranbrook House and Gardens. Bloomfield Hills is home to the Affleck House, which was designed by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Some popular attractions in Bloomfield Hills include The Maple Theatre and Franklin Cider Mill.
