Build a Rube Goldberg Machine!
In this event, kids will learn about the six types of simple machines (levers, pulleys, inclined planes, wheels and axles, screws, and wedges) and use them to build a Rube Goldberg Machine. This event is led by volunteers from the Society of Women Engineers.
Facilitators: Sahara Becker (Tech Support Manager at McMaster-Carr, Society of Women Engineers SWENext Programs Committee Chair Elect) and Michael Cha (Data Scientist, John Deere).
This program is intended for students in grades 2-5, though younger may attend with a parent to assist Please register, as space is limited.
For additional information or help with registration, please contact Theresa at theresaw@dkpl.org or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 3350.
