Chess Tournament

The Kaukauna Public Library is holding its first annual Spring Chess Tournament Saturday, May 3rd to determine the best chess players in the community.  Since time is limited, we are going to limit participation to the first 12 people to sign up so that we can finish in a reasonable time.  The number of players that show up will determine the structure of the tournament.  If we get the full complement of participants we will play a double elimination tournament, which means everyone continues to play until you lose twice.  Trophies will be awarded at the end.  Chess clocks will be employed.  If we are unable to complete the tournament on Saturday, we will extend the tournament to the following Monday and Tuesday evenings.  This tournament will take place in adult fiction and will start at 9:15am and go till 1pm.  Snacks and soda will be provided, but feel free to bring your own lunch.  Trophies will be awarded at the end.  Held in conference room ABC. One sign up per person please.
