Classical Family: Accent Pontiac Bucket Band Workshop

Create musical connections with the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival as they partner with Accent Pontiac for a children’s music workshop this summer. Their instruction includes percussion lessons using drumsticks and buckets, as the second installment of the Festival’s family programming mini-series participants will learn rhythmic skills and percussion techniques through “bucket band” drumming. More importantly, participants experience what it is like to be part of an ensemble, sharing responsibility and pride with one another. This program was created with ages K-5 in mind but can be enjoyed by everyone!
