Cultural Corners Street Party

Downtown Ludington will play host to the area’s first ever ‘Cultural Corner Street Party: @ the Crossroads of Creativity’ Friday, Sept. 20, 2024 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in downtown Ludington. This FREE community gathering is hosted by the Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA), Mason County District Library, the Mason County Historical Society’s Research Center, and Sandcastles Children’s Museum.

Harrison Street, from Ludington Avenue south to Loomis Street and from Ludington Avenue north to Court Street, will be closed to traffic during the street party.

Each organization will have a number of outdoor activities for community members to experience throughout the event as well as LIVE music by the Beet Diggers. Outdoor activities include, John Marek balloon animals, outside games (giant Jenga, Connect 4, checkers and chess), a ‘Make Your Mark’ community painting project, the West Shore Educational Service District’s inspiREading Book Bus (with each child getting a free book of their choice), as well as tin punch and weaving activities.

During the street party each organization will also have their buildings open with FREE admission, allowing visitors to explore and learn about the cultural activities they offer our community and visitors to our area.

Punch cards will be available inside each organization; those who visit each location and have their card stamped can use the card to redeem FREE ice cream, along Harrison Street, donated by House of Flavors!
