Join the teaching artists of Ajna Dance Company for their Dances of India workshop to learn about Indian culture through dance and music. You will learn about and get to try different styles of dance that come from the diverse country that is India. And after you watch and learn, be ready to get up and dance! You're invited to enjoy a virtual Indian dance program that will include a live introduction to Indian dance, a video presentation of our performance followed by a live, interactive Bollywood and Bhangra dance lesson catered to families -- adults, children and teens. Ajna is a New York City based dance company whose mission is to share artistic and authentic Indian dance with a global and diverse audience. The company specializes in both contemporary and classical Indian dance forms. Their arts education programs bring Indian dance and culture to students in a fun, educational and accessible way that help to celebrate diversity.
