The Dowagiac Library began serving the Dowagiac community since its founding in 1904. Since its reincorporation as a district library in 2004, the Dowagiac District Library has also provided service to the neighboring Silver Creek, Keeler, Wayne and Bainbridge townships. The Dowagiac District Library provides a welcoming and safe environment in our community for all people to learn, to explore, to create, to interact. Our library provides access to ideas, information, experiences and resources for life-long learning. Our goal is to enrich people's lives by preserving the past, promoting the present, and embracing the future.
