Eclipse Viewing Party

Join us for a mesmerizing eclipse viewing at our outdoor library space! We will have engaging crafts for the kids and eclipse glasses, available while supplies last. Bring along some snacks and drinks, grab your blanket or lawn chair, and fully immerse yourself in the eclipse experience. The total solar eclipse is set to start in  Illinois on April 8, 2024, commencing at 1:58 pm CDT, with the Moon's shadow bidding farewell to the state at 2:06 pm CDT. More details can be found here.

In the event of favorable weather conditions, we'll host the gathering outdoors. However, if the weather doesn't cooperate, the event will be canceled, though eclipse glasses will still be available at the library.

Open to the public. You do not need a library card to participate.
