Adult, Educational, Family Friendly, Free, Outdoor
See how Upper Nyack's advocate for our natural environment, Bob Stien, collects one of nature's delights, Maple sap. Viewers will watch how the sap is tapped from one of the Maple trees on the grounds of River Hook: The Hester Haring Cason Preserve. Bob will talk about different ways in which Maple sap is used and take questions. This is the first installment in a series, called Experience River Hook. Sponsored by Friends of River Hook, Nyack Library, and Friends of Rockland Lake and Hook Mountain.
The filming and video production of this program by FlyingFilmsNY was made possible through a gift from the Welles Remy Crowther Charitable Trust.
