Arts & Culture, Classes, Educational, Family Friendly, Free, Games, Library, Local Business, Summer Reading Program
Keep your kids active this summer with a free beginner skateboard activity at the Fargo Indoor Skate Park! Join Fargo owner, Ariel Ries, for a fun-filled program featuring a story time and craft, a high-flying skate demonstration by professional skateboarders, and instruction on safety and rules for both indoor and outdoor skateboarding. Then, with parent permission, children will get a chance to try skateboarding with a beginner lesson.
For optimal protection, children will be loaned a skateboard and fitted with a helmet and protective pads. After instruction, children can use their new skills and stay for a one hour of free skate.
This program will be held in the Fargo Indoor Skate Park, located at 641 E Lincoln Hwy, Dekalb, IL 60115. Parents must sign a waiver form provided by Fargo Skate Park for all child participants.
No registration is required. This program is for children ages 4-12.
For additional information please contact Stormy at stormye@dkpl.org or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 3310.
