Farmington Raven-Crow Contest

Once upon a midnight dreary, you might ponder, weak and weary, “what’s a “Ravencrow?” To commemorate the second annual GrandRaven Festival, we’re reviving Downtown Farmington’s famed scarecrow contest, but with a twist: we’ll celebrate a spooky October in our historic downtown by drawing inspiration from Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven. Calling all residents of Farmington and surrounding communities, local groups, and Downtown Farmington merchants to summon your creativity and help us to spread the spirit of GrandRaven throughout town with raven-themed scarecrows! Key Dates: Register your Ravencrow by Wednesday, September 29. Ravencrows must be brought to Riley Park to be put on display by 6pm October 1st. Ravencrow contest winners will be announced the week of October 25th. All participants must take down their Ravencrow on Friday, November 5th by 5pm.
