The Ferndale Area District Library strengthens the community by providing access to materials and services that inform, enrich, entertain, and empower. The Ferndale Area District Library is a library located in southeastern Michigan, near the heart of downtown. Our newly renovated and refurbished location at 222 E. Nine Mile is now open! There's plants and vegetation growing on our "green roof" and geothermal heat from the Earth warming the aisles, study rooms, computer lab and new children's reading area. We are honored to be able to continue offering our services to you in this highly impressive/exciting edifice - packed with new state of the art features, yet still aiming to offer you that cozy/quaint reading space or the dignified/hallowed hall of knowledge atmosphere you've come to expect and to love from your Ferndale Library staff.
