Learning how to read can literally TRANSFORM A PERSON’S LIFE. READING IS THE GATEWAY TO FUTURE ACADEMIC SUCCESS. A national consensus of research proves that and no other single factor is more critical in predicting future success or failure in education than reading proficiency. And yet sadly, an alarming number of Metro Detroit-area high school students struggle with grade level-appropriate reading and developing solid reading comprehension skills. We are committed to helping our community's children achieve a better future. Our program has been a success and is helping Ferndale High School students reach grade level reading proficiency. With your help, we can support the students who need additional academic assistance now and in the future.
