Genealogy Series: FamilySearch and Ancestry Memories

Master Genealogist Kirk Vredevelt has partnered with the Hastings Public Library on a new genealogy series. Learn the basics of the process, understand its history, and start or continue your family history journey with expert guidance.

The workshop schedule is:

• Feb. 12: Week 1, Foundations of Genealogy
• Feb. 19: Week 2, A Thousand Years: Family Names & Document Records
• Feb. 26: Week 3, History of Genealogy and the Move to the Internet
• Mar. 12, Week 4: Cemetery History and Find a Grave Navigation
• Mar. 19, Week 5: FamilySearch Navigation and Ancestry Memories
• Mar. 26, Week 6: Packet Production and Fun Genealogy

Attend any or all sessions. Each has a separate registration. 

Bring your own laptop or mobile device to follow along, but a computer is not required.

Note the workshop starts at 6pm, but Kirk will be available between 5pm and 6pm for general questions and assistance.
