Join the North Liberty Neighborhood Ambassadors and the North Liberty Library for another session of the Good Neighbor Book Club. The GNBC looks to set out how we can better improve our connection to one another in our community through the lens of a book. This spring, we'll be looking at Fragile Neighborhoods by Seth Kaplan, a book that looks at how local communities are essential for individual well-being and societal health. He explores how the weakening of these crucial social bonds contributes to a range of problems, from economic inequality and social isolation to political polarization and declining civic engagement.
The group will discuss the book over 6 weeks beginning on April 3rd and meet weekly through May 8th at 6:30 pm. Discussions will be held at the Ranshaw House just north of the North Liberty Library at 515 Community Dr.
Schedule (tentative):
Week 1 (4/3): Introductions
Week 2 (4/10): Discussion on Chapters 1-3
Week 3 (4/17): Discussion on Chapters 4-5
Week 4 (4/24): Discussion on Chapters 6-8
