Tony Jefferson opens the evening with his signature blend of Jazz, R&B, Funk, Rock, and Pop, showcasing the expressive guitar style he’s been developing since first picking up the instrument at age seven. As a seasoned Michigan bandleader, Jefferson brings groove-driven musicianship and soulful improvisation that sets the perfect tone for the night.
Headlining the show is Michigan’s own Groove Session, a powerhouse ensemble blending Jazz, R&B, and Funk and fronted by the dynamic vocalist Ms. Nikell, whose soulful voice and commanding presence anchor the band’s sound. Together, these two acts will fill Pontiac’s Little Art Theatre (The PLAT) with warm grooves, rich melodies, and vibrant energy—transforming the intimate space into a lively, feel-good night of live music where the rhythm locks in and the whole room moves with the groove. πΆβ¨
