Groove Session, Michigan’s own powerhouse ensemble, brings their signature blend of live Jazz, R&B, and Funk to The Pontiac Little Art Theatre (PLAT). With tight arrangements, rich rhythms, and soulful interplay, this band creates an atmosphere that’s both electrifying and deeply soulful — perfect for jazz lovers and anyone who wants to feel music in their bones.

At the heart of the show is Ms. Nikell (aka Nikell Johnson), a dynamic vocalist with over 20 years of performing experience whose voice has captivated audiences around the world. She’s known for her powerful blend of soul and R&B, drawing comparisons to the greats like Jill Scott, Chaka Khan, and Erykah Badu and delivering every note with emotion and authenticity that resonates long after the last song ends.
