Join Community Mentor, Barbara Howard, and decorate your own straw hat. With Barbara's help, you can create a historically accurate hat that would have been worn around the year 1869 (the year Nashville was founded). These hats are encouraged to be worn at the Sesquicentennial Celebration in August along with other historically accurate costume pieces. Barbara can also advise those who are interested in wearing a costume at the celebration on how best to approach a sewing design.
Supplies will be provided for participants.
