Detroit's notorious Purple Gang, sometimes called the Sugar House Gang, was a criminal group of bootleggers and hijackers that rose to become the city’s dominant mob during the Prohibition Era. Join us as our presenter takes us on an in-depth journey into a dark corner of the Motor City’s history.

This lecture is presented virtually Tuesday, May 10th, at 12pm by the Historical Society of Michigan and author Daniel Waugh. Please register to view this presentation on the screen in the White Lake Community Library’s Meeting Room.
