Robert Myers, the Director of History Programming of the Michigan Historical Society, presents the story of Harriet Quimby, America’s first woman pilot. A Michigan native, Harriet Quimby was a true Renaissance woman, as well as being an aviator, she was also a drama critic for Leslie's Illustrated Weekly, a motion picture screenwriter for D. W. Griffith, and a stage actress. Discover the meteoric rise and sudden fall of this unsung American legend.
