At this Writers Reading event, historian, author and lecturer David Head will discuss his book, "A Crisis of Peace: George Washington, the Newburgh Conspiracy, and the Fate of the American Revolution".
"'A Crisis of Peace' presents a vivid narrative of the Newburgh Conspiracy of 1783. It represents the finest account that we have of the critical phase of the Revolutionary War following the siege of Yorktown: a phase that presented multiple military, economic, and political dangers to the nascent republic."
