Writers Reading at the Library: David Head
At this Writers Reading event, historian, author and lecturer David Head will discuss his book, "A Crisis of Peace: George Washington, the Newburgh Conspiracy, and the Fate of the American Revolution". "'A Crisis of Peace' presents a vivid narrative of the Newburgh Conspiracy of 1783. It represents the finest account that we have of the critical phase of the Revolutionary War following the siege of Yorktown: a phase that presented multiple military, economic, and political dangers to the nascent republic." A Live Zoom event Registration Required A Collaborative Event with the Putnam History Museum This project is made possible, in part, through the Putnam Arts Council's Arts Link Grant Program, with public funds provided through the NY State Council on the Arts with support from Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NY State Legislature.
