Discover the tools you need to create powerful stories, unforgettable characters, and a narrative voice that’s
uniquely yours.
"How To Write A Book: From Concept To Completion" is an 8-week course that focuses on elevating your storytelling craft, building solid narratives, and developing dimensional characters. Whether you're just beginning your writing journey or seeking to refine your craft, this class offers the guidance, knowledge, and confidence you need to master storytelling.
Class will be broken up into two parts per class: one hour of educational instruction and answering direct participants’ questions, and an hour of one-on-one workshopping directly with the instructor to build strong narratives (outlining), develop characters, and refine prose.
Who is this class for? This class is designed for writers of all levels, from beginners looking to learn the fundamentals of storytelling to experienced authors seeking to enhance their character development and narrative structure.
What will participants learn? Over weekly 120-minute sessions, participants will explore three core elements of storytelling:
- Build Strong Narratives: Learn how to create compelling outlines that guide your story from
beginning to end, using techniques like the 27 Plot Point Outline to structure your narrative
effectively. - Develop Memorable Characters: Craft complex, relatable characters that drive your story and
captivate your audience. - Refine Your Writing Craft: Strengthen your prose, understand the nuances of style, and bring your
unique voice to life through a well-structured story.
Why is this class valuable? In addition to structured in-class learning, participants will have the option for personalized assistance during class hours and outside accessibility through email, being able to ask questions for clarification. This added support allows for tailored guidance on outlining, character refinement, and overall craft, ensuring every participant can develop and polish their storytelling skills.
