PROGRAM ROOM A
Join us for a talk from local author McKenna Graf, for a reading from her new poetry collection Mortals, Myths, and Maybes. A Suzanne Cutler Teen Creative Writing Contest alum, she'll also discuss her journey from the contest to getting her works published professionally, and how she worked to hone her craft while balancing a busy school schedule.
Presenter: McKenna Graf is a poet and filmmaker from New Jersey. She has been consistently writing poetry since high school and has taken several measures to hone her writing since then. She has attended the Great Books Online Fiction Workshop and Kenyon Young Writers Workshop. She has self-published a poetry chapbook, "writing over the word limit," and has another one in development with Parisian Phoenix Publishing. She has several short films in progress on her Vimeo and is interested in the intersection between film and poetry. You can find her on Instagram @mckennagrafwrites.
This program is tailored to teens and young adults, but is open to any attendees over 12 years old. Registration is requested.
The Suzanne Cutler Teen Creative Writing Contest and all of the related programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Bernards Township Library. Participation in the creative writing contest is not a requirement for attending any and all programs.
