Enjoy a lecture on the life and music of Master Composer George Gershwin. Born on September 26, 1898. Gershwin wrote music for both the concert hall and the Broadway stage; whether writing popular songs or music for orchestra, he gave us standards that remain popular today.

Presenter: Dr. Butts, artistic director of the Baroque Orchestra of NJ, teaches at Montclair State University, The Casperan School of Graduate Studies at Drew University and for the NJ Council for the Humanities.
