International Observe the Moon Night

International Observe the Moon Night is a worldwide celebration of lunar science & exploration, as well as the moon in arts and culture. Join Longway Planetarium staff and For-Mar Naturalists to explore crater science, moon maps, sketch the moon, and investigate the trails for nocturnal animals, all by headlamp or flashlight. Red filters will be available for your lights to protect night vision. A limited number of telescopes will be available, and guests are encouraged to bring their own. A limited number of binoculars will be available.

Suggested for ages 10+

Time: 8-10p  

Cost: FREE

Registration is required by 10/3/2025; registration is per car

**In the event of poor outdoor viewing conditions, the program will be moved to the For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum Visitor’s Center**
