Jazz and Blues - The Sheila Landis Trio featuring Rick Matle

With over 20 recordings to her credit on CD and vinyl, Singer Sheila Landis has been voted "Outstanding Jazz Vocalist" seven times by the Detroit Music Awards.  Landis does her most adventurous work in the company of longstanding musical partner, Oakland University Jazz Performance Graduate Rick Matle, whose rich chords and full bass lines supply top, bottom and everything in between. Together Landis and Matle fearlessly explore vintage swing and hip novelty tunes, soulful blues, saucy Brazilian rhythms, Motown classics, "British Invasion" gems and their own inventive collaborations.
