In light of (or should we say, "in dark of"?) the coming solar eclipse on April 8, affable weather forecaster emeritus of News12 Westchester, Joe Rao discusses his passion for "eclipse chasing" in a live Zoom meeting. An astronomer and guest lecturer at the Hayden Planetarium, Joe has followed 13 eclipses around the globe, by land, sea and air-- and he loves speaking of unusual and inspiring experiences of standing in the presence of this awesome natural phenomenon. After his Power Point talk, he will answer your questions.
You can participate on your own device by emailing us for the Zoom link, or advising you would like to watch it live with us on our big screen at Blauvelt Free Library. If you attend, we'll give you a pair of free eclipse glasses.
